Population

In 1873, Bradford was a village with an estimated population of 2,000 people. However, this number has significantly changed with the town’s population currently standing at 29,832 according to 2016 census documents. The population can be said to have grown steadily over that period. It comprises of people from all parts of the world. Also, the town’s population is made up of young people. Most people are between the age of 0-49 years with people over 80 years being very few.

On its southern border, highway 400 and highway 9 are used to serve the town. Apart from these highways, people can also access the town via Simcoe county roads. According to Statistics Canada, the town is among the safest places in the country. For instance, there has been only one isolated case of homicide since 2017, putting the homicide rate at 1.48 for every 100,000 people. However, it was noted that the violent crime rate was up but still below provincial and national rates.
